He noted that while legal provisions governing the media are embedded in various laws and sub-legislation, inconsistent implementation and limited understanding have hindered effective enforcement, leaving room for misinterpretation and misuse. He stressed that improving legal awareness among media professionals and regulatory authorities is essential to meeting the demands of the evolving media landscape.
