Dong Nai Province Expands Search for Martyrs' Remains, Potential New Discovery
The Dong Nai City Military Command in Dong Nai Province has expanded its search for martyrs' remains in Minh Duc commune, with the potential for new discoveries. The remains found were reportedly bound with parachute cord.
The search for martyrs' remains is being expanded in Minh Duc commune, Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam. On July 19, the Dong Nai City Military Command, in coordination with local authorities, deployed additional forces and equipment to broaden the search area. With this expanded search, there is a possibility of discovering new remains. The search team has reportedly found skeletal remains that are largely intact and were bound with parachute cord. This discovery underscores the authorities' strong commitment to returning the remains of martyrs to their families and comrades. Vietnam has for many years been engaged in the collection and identification of the remains of soldiers who perished, particularly during the Vietnam War (the Anti-American resistance war for national salvation). This is a national undertaking and a fervent wish of the surviving families. The government continuously invests in projects related to the identification and burial of remains, playing a crucial role in fostering national patriotism and respect for the sacrifices made. The current search operation in Dong Nai Province is part of these national efforts.
