Cambodia Red Cross Seeks Donations for Humanitarian Aid

Mang Sineth, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, Sihanoukville Branch, received humanitarian donations on September 1, 2026, at the branch office. The donations were from public officials and philanthropists, both within and outside Sihanoukville province, in commemoration of the 163rd World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on May 8, 2026. President Mang Sineth expressed his gratitude to all individuals and entities who participated in the donation. He stated that the funds raised, under the theme 'Continuing to Unite for Humanity,' will enable the Sihanoukville Branch to continue providing humanitarian services, addressing various challenges, strengthening community resilience, and alleviating the suffering of affected and vulnerable people in accordance with the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. He strongly expressed his hope that many individuals and entities will continue to provide financial and material support to the Cambodian Red Cross, Sihanoukville Branch. The branch team is ready to receive funds and humanitarian donations from all sectors during working hours at the branch office. Furthermore, President Mang Sineth affirmed that the collected funds and materials will be used to serve the poor, vulnerable populations, the elderly, and orphans. He also conveyed his best wishes for the good health, strength, and wisdom of all donors in their contributions to humanitarian and social work with the Cambodian Red Cross, Sihanoukville Branch. It was also recalled that during the third round of donations, 165 individuals contributed 46,090,000 Riels (approximately $11,400 USD) and $104,472 USD. Source: AKP Khmer
