Landslides in Mogok cause damage to some houses

In Mogok city, Mandalay Region, some landslides occurred on the morning of August 7 due to heavy rainfall, causing damage to some houses, according to the Fire Services Department of Myanmar and the Parami Social Welfare Association. It was released by the Fire Services Department of Myanmar that around 11:45 AM on August 7, two residential houses in Mogok city were affected by the collapse of a retaining wall due to heavy rainfall, and firefighters from the Mogok Township Fire Station, along with relevant organizations, jointly carried out rescue and clearing operations. Furthermore, it was learned from the Parami Social Welfare Association that two houses in the Thatchoe Ward were damaged due to the collapse of a retaining wall, and in Aung Nilar (2) Ward, one house was damaged due to a landslide, while in Aung Nilar (1) Ward, one house's walls were damaged by water erosion. It was learned that there were no human casualties in these incidents, and rescue operations were jointly carried out by the Western Fire Brigade, the Red Cross Society, the Lokahita Social Welfare Association, and the Parami Social Welfare Association.
