Ministry of Construction team wins championship trophy at Inter-Ministry Sepak Takraw Championship

The Ministry of Construction team won championship trophy at the 2026 Inter-Ministry Sepak Takraw Championship, securing two gold medals. In the four-player final, the Ministry of Construction defeated the Ministry of Home Affairs 2–1. The Ministry of Home Affairs finished runner-up, while the Ministry of Border Affairs took third place. In the three-player event, the Ministry of Construction also won first place. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs finished second, while the Ministry of Transport and Communications came third. The Ministry of Construction received 3 million kyat cash prize for each event, as well as individual medals and the overall championship trophy. The 2026 Inter-Ministry Men’s Sepak Takraw Championship was held from September 3 to 9 at Wunna Theikdi Sports Hall (A) in Nay Pyi Taw. The event aimed to promote friendship among ministries and athletes, improve Myanmar’s Sepak Takraw standards and develop new athletes. A total of 264 athletes from 27 teams of various ministries took part in the event.
