Viet Nam strengthens surveillance as Ebola disease constitutes public health emergency in DRC, Uganda

The Vietnamese Ministry of Health has stepped up surveillance following Ebola outbreaks in the DRC and Uganda. Citizens with travel history to affected areas are advised to monitor their health for 21 days. While the WHO has declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), it noted the current situation does not meet the criteria for a pandemic.
