Cambodia's Ministry of Social Affairs Holds Project Development Fundamentals Training
Cambodia's Ministry of Social Affairs conducted a two-day training for 72 officials focused on enhancing knowledge and skills in project development. The program covered practical aspects from problem analysis to reporting, aiming to improve the quality of project implementation.
The Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation held a two-day training course on "Fundamentals of Project Development" at its headquarters from September 1-2, 2026. The opening ceremony was presided over by H.E. Dr. Oul Ro, Secretary of State, with approximately 72 officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation in attendance. H.E. Dr. Oul Ro stated that the overall objective of the training is to strengthen the knowledge and skills of officials under the ministry regarding the project development process. This includes problem analysis, objective setting, action plan formulation, budget estimation, indicator determination, monitoring and evaluation, and the preparation of results reports. These skills are expected to enhance the quality, transparency, accountability, and responsiveness of the ministry's project implementation to the actual needs of the target groups. Dr. Oul Ro further emphasized that the key message of project development lies in the ability to transform the ministry's policies, strategies, and plans into concrete, implementable actions. This training is expected to contribute to improving the capacity for project implementation in the social security sector in Cambodia. Source: AKP Khmer
