Due to heavy rainfall, a section of the Yangon-Mandalay railway experienced flooding, causing a DEMU train to be temporarily halted, and it resumed its journey after 5 PM today. Today (August 31), heavy rainfall caused flooding on the Yangon-Mandalay railway line near Zeyawaddy Township and Nyaungchete Township, resulting in a DEMU train being temporarily halted before resuming its journey after 5 PM, according to local residents. Similarly, continuous rainfall caused flooding on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, and the Expressway Maintenance and Supervision Committee issued a warning for motorists to drive with caution.
