
Subic Port Drain Suspected Source of Pollutant Affecting 350 Sq. Meters of Coastline
The Philippine Coast Guard identified a foul-smelling substance in Subic Bay as leachate, suspected to have originated from a drainage system at the Subic Bay International Terminal Corp. (SBITC). The pollutant, possibly leaking from refrigerated containers under Bureau of Customs custody, has affected approximately 350 square meters of coastline.
