MinebeaMitsumi Announces Further Investment in Cambodia

AKP Phnom Penh, July 28, 2026 – Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on the morning of July 28, 2026, granted a courtesy call and held work discussions with Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, Executive Officer of MinebeaMitsumi Inc., and his delegation at the Peace Palace. During the meeting, the Executive Officer expressed his profound gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia, as well as relevant ministries and institutions, for their consistent and full support for MinebeaMitsumi Inc.'s business operations in Cambodia, which have led to the proud achievements and successes seen today. The Executive Officer also briefed the Prime Minister on the company's business progress and the plan to inaugurate a new factory in Cambodia, along with plans for further investment expansion by the company in Cambodia. He affirmed that the company's success and growth are attracting other Japanese investors to invest in Cambodia, and the company continues to have confidence in Cambodia's investment environment and stability. Concurrently, the company will celebrate its 15th anniversary of business operations in Cambodia next December. In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his delight at MinebeaMitsumi Inc.'s progress and success in Cambodia, emphasizing that the company's success is also Cambodia's success. He stated that the Royal Government will continue to support and ensure a favorable environment for investors, and will continue to ensure a resilient and highly competitive investment environment. In this regard, Samdech Thipadei highlighted the implementation of necessary policies and mechanisms to facilitate business and investment in Cambodia, including the reform of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), promoting and supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to become stronger, and providing incentives through tax preferences for Cambodia's potential and strategic sectors.
