Hue City Appoints New Leadership After Merging Culture and Tourism Departments

Hue City in central Vietnam has announced new leadership following the merger of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism with the Department of Tourism. This organizational restructuring aims to enhance administrative efficiency and better leverage Hue's rich potential in culture, heritage, sports, and tourism. Le Minh Nhan, former Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, has been appointed as the Director of the new unified Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Four Deputy Directors were also named, with the new leadership team commencing a five-year term from September 1st. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, previously the Director of the Department of Tourism, has been transferred to the Department of Foreign Affairs and appointed as its Director. Hue City People's Committee Chairman Le Tri Thanh stated that these appointments are based on the qualifications, experience, and suitability of each official to contribute to the city's development. Through this merger, Hue City aims to eliminate administrative redundancies and establish a more unified management system. The city intends to further enhance the appeal of its unique cultural and tourism assets, thereby boosting efforts to attract both domestic and international visitors.
