Field Inspection Tour: MGY Region CM conducted field inspection tour

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko, accompanied by region ministers, met with the Padan military station, the Township Administrative Body, departmental officials, village tract administrators, town elders, and local residents at the meeting hall of the Ngape Township General Administration Department on July 22, to carry out local development work. During the meeting, Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko delivered opening remarks, emphasizing that the socio-economic lives of the people will only improve when the region is peaceful, stable, and developed, therefore, the public should actively cooperate in local development efforts etc. Next, U Tun Khin, Minister for Ethnic Affairs of the Magway Region Government, Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Moe Min Oo, and Amyotha Hluttaw Representative U Sein Swe Min delivered remarks regarding regional development. U Kyaw Soe, Chairman of the Township Administrative Body, then gave a PowerPoint presentation on the administrative, economic, social, and developmental data of Ngape Township. Following this, local residents presented their development needs. Relevant regional-level departmental officials responded and discussed by sector, after which the Regional Chief Minister coordinated with the respective departments to address the requirements. Afterward, Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko provided instructions on maintaining regional peace and stability and boosting agricultural and livestock production. He also presented 1 million kyats in financial support to the Ngape Township Public Security and Anti-Terrorism Group. From there, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Aung Nan Myay Monastery in Badein Village, Ngape Township. They paid respects to the Presiding Sayadaw U Thumana and presented donation items. A total of 325 children reside at the monastery as boarders, including 65 novices and 260 students, among whom are displaced Asho Chin ethnic children from highland villages. They are currently studying from Grade 2 to Grade 12 at the Badein Basic Education High School (Branch). The Chief Minister presented them with financial assistance, food items, and provided necessary support. The Presiding Sayadaw U Thumana oversees these students in cooperation with town elders and donors, providing them with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as attending to their education, health, and living needs, it’s learnt.
