Nguyen The Manh Appointed Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee

On September 19, the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council, during a special session, elected Mr. Nguyen The Manh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, as the new Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term, with 100% of the delegates voting in favor. Mr. Nguyen The Manh replaces Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, a member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, who has been reassigned by the Politburo to a different role. Mr. Nguyen The Manh, previously Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Policy and Strategy, was announced by the Secretariat of the Central Party Committee to be transferred and appointed as a member of the Provincial Party Committee and its Standing Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, and was introduced for election as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Speaking after his election as Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen The Manh expressed his thanks for the attention and trust from the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, and the delegates of the Provincial People's Council who have placed their confidence in him and entrusted him with this important responsibility. He stated that in his new role, he will continue to uphold administrative discipline and order, enhance the efficiency of state management, focus on socio-economic development, invest in infrastructure construction, accelerate key projects, attract investment, combat corruption, waste, and negativity, and improve the living standards of the people. "In this new position, I will be dedicated and work with all my might to serve the interests of the people and the common development of the province, striving to successfully complete all assigned tasks," Mr. Nguyen The Manh affirmed. Mr. Nguyen The Manh was born in 1972 in Hung Yen province. He has held various positions, including Director General of Vietnam Social Security and Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Policy and Strategy.
