Myanmar-Russia discuss Dawei deep-sea port and special economic zone construction

Vice President U Nyoe Soe and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Yuri Petrovich Trutnev held discussions regarding cooperation between Myanmar and Russia, including issues such as the construction of the Dawei deep-sea port and special economic zone, and cooperation in the education sector. Vice President U Nyoe Soe, who is in Vladivostok to attend the 11th Eastern Economic Forum to be held in Vladivostok, Russia, held discussions with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Yuri Petrovich Trutnev in Vladivostok on the afternoon of September 1st, local time, as mentioned above. Furthermore, it is reported that opinions were exchanged frankly on matters such as promoting cooperation in the energy, economic, trade, and tourism sectors, and the opening of a Myanmar Consulate General in Vladivostok. Following that, Vice President U Nyoe Soe also held separate meetings in Vladivostok with Mr. Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee, and Mr. Alexander Shityrov, Director of the Roscongress Foundation. It is also reported that Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Ko Ko Lwin, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Digital Development and Information Technology U Min Zeyar Hlaing, Myanmar Ambassador U Myo Myo Aung, and responsible officials attended these meetings along with the Vice President.
