Degree college to be opened in Putao region

A degree college suitable for the region, in proportion to the population, will be opened in the Putao region for the development of border areas and ethnic races, said State President U Min Aung Hlaing. The State President added this remark when he met with the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, and Chief Ministers of Regions and States, at the meeting hall of the State President's Office on the morning of September 23. If appropriate subjects, including law and economics, are opened and taught at the Putao Degree College, it will be beneficial for the region, therefore, the State President instructed the relevant ministries to continue to carry out the necessary measures for the establishment of a degree college in the Putao region. Furthermore, State President U Min Aung Hlaing stated that the Chief Ministers of Regions and States need to collectively fulfill and implement administrative matters and necessary requirements for basic education schools and universities, colleges, and institutes opened for regional development, to ensure good teaching and learning environments and systematic operations.
