Bac Ninh Province Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival at Social Welfare Center

On the evening of September 17, the Bac Ninh Provincial General Social Welfare Center organized a "Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration 2026" for children under its care. The event, held in a joyful and warm atmosphere, coincided with the establishment of Bac Ninh City as a centrally-governed municipality. It provided a space for the children to enjoy festivities, partake in traditional moon festival feasts, engage in cultural exchanges, and receive loving gifts from leaders at various levels, organizations, and individuals. Attendees included leaders from the Department of Health, Department of Education and Training, and the Provincial Youth Union, along with representatives from supporting entities such as FPT Bac Giang Primary, Secondary, and High Schools, the Bac Giang City Youth Union, Lotte Mart Bac Giang, Viettel Bac Ninh, the Labor Union of Bac Giang Garment General Company, the Labor Union of Bac Giang Seed Joint Stock Company, the Narcotics Crime Investigation Police Department of Bac Ninh Province, the Traffic Police Department, Co-opbank Bac Giang Branch, Phuong Dong Pharmaceutical and Trading Company, and Thai An Traditional Medicine Clinic, as well as many staff, employees, parents, and children residing at the center. Nguyen Van Hue, Director of the Bac Ninh Provincial General Social Welfare Center, stated, "The Mid-Autumn Festival is an occasion for children to play, receive love, and create beautiful childhood memories. For the children cared for at our Center, the community's attention and sharing are even more precious and meaningful. We always wish for every child to live in a safe, warm environment, to learn, train, and develop, ensuring no one is left behind. Today's festival is an opportunity for the children to enjoy mooncakes, cultural performances, exchange with others, and receive gifts full of love. We hope that the laughter and bright eyes of the children will be a source of joy and motivation for the Center's staff to better fulfill their mission of caring for, nurturing, and supporting individuals with special circumstances." The program featured vibrant activities including a star lantern procession, gift-giving for disadvantaged children, cultural performances by the children, a presentation of the center's activities, and a Mid-Autumn feast with gifts from sponsors. It is known that the Bac Ninh Provincial General Social Welfare Center has been effectively carrying out its duties, caring for and nurturing 137 individuals, including lonely elderly people, people with disabilities, children with disabilities, deaf-mute children, orphans, children infected with HIV, and emergency cases. Rehabilitation medical work has been maintained, with over 5,400 medical examinations and treatments, and 735 rehabilitation sessions. 100% of orphaned and disabled children of school age attend school, with deaf-mute children achieving high academic results in the 2025-2026 academic year. Social work and community development have been promoted, with hundreds of consultations and assistance provided to individuals inside and outside the center, and 13 new subjects admitted according to regulations. Cultural and sports experiential activities are also regularly implemented, contributing to the enhancement of comprehensive care quality for the beneficiaries. With its achievements, the Bac Ninh Provincial General Social Welfare Center continues to affirm its role as a reliable support system, nurturing love and providing development opportunities for social welfare beneficiaries in the province.
