Top-Scoring Student Embraces TVET for a Clear Future Career Path

An Seng Heun, a former top-scoring student in Cambodia, has chosen to pursue vocational training (TVET) at the National Technical Training Institute (NTTI), under the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, to embark on a career in electronics engineering. This decision stems from both the high employment opportunities in the field and a lifelong passion for technology. Originally from Prey Veng province, Seng Heun has harbored a deep interest in electronics engineering since childhood. During his 12th-grade studies, he began actively researching the field and educational institutions offering relevant training. Through information gathered on social media and consultations with senior students, he recognized that electronics engineering not only aligned with his childhood aspirations but also held significant demand in the Cambodian job market. "I have been passionate about electronics since I was young. In my 12th grade, I spent time researching and consulting with seniors to find a standardized school to fulfill my dream," Seng Heun stated. After exploring numerous institutions, the former top-scoring student became particularly interested in NTTI, part of the TVET system. He observed the quality of education, noting that the institute provided both theoretical knowledge and practical application, complemented by modern and abundant equipment that facilitates student development. "After enrolling at NTTI, I am truly satisfied because the school has both modern study equipment and experienced teachers who are dedicated to teaching. My studies in TVET have provided me with both knowledge and practical skills, which are crucial foundations for my future career," he remarked. Regarding his future goals, An Seng Heun expressed his ambition to utilize the knowledge and skills acquired at NTTI to develop new technologies and contribute to the advancement of Cambodia's technology sector, aiming to create benefits for society. Additionally, the former top-scoring student shared three key tips for achieving excellent grades: first, self-study, which includes learning both in school and independently, such as preparing additional analyses; second, focused study, meaning concentrating on the correct subjects, lessons, and selecting appropriate textbooks; and third, maintaining good relationships with peers or knowledgeable individuals to foster further motivation for learning. In conclusion, An Seng Heun appealed to Cambodian youth to pay more attention to studying in TVET fields, as they offer knowledge, practical skills, and high employment opportunities.
