Vietnam Pushes Modernization with Infrastructure Push and Governance Reforms

Vietnam is pushing forward with its modernization agenda, emphasizing both the development of modern infrastructure and the reform of governance. Tran Cam Tu, a permanent member of the CPV Central Committee's Secretariat, has called for the implementation of work management software designed to enable Party committees and agency heads to swiftly track task progress, identify responsible parties, monitor deadlines, and understand the causes of any delays. This aims to streamline decision-making processes and enhance accountability within the administrative system. In parallel, efforts are underway to establish a framework of practical and achievable performance indicators. These indicators are intended to facilitate the National Assembly's oversight and objective evaluation of judicial activities, thereby strengthening accountability and checks and balances in the exercise of power. Economically, provinces such as Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh are recognized for their growing importance in the northern economic region, leveraging their strategic geographical locations. This underscores the contribution of regional economic development to the nation's overall growth. On the international front, Vietnam is celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations with Thailand through an exhibition highlighting the rich cultural heritage and artistic achievements of both nations. Bilateral ties with Malaysia have been elevated to a comprehensive strategic partnership, reinforcing a shared commitment to regional peace, cooperation, and sustainable development. In defense cooperation with India, training programs are being modernized through the integration of simulation technology and digital transformation. In response to the rapidly evolving digital environment, Vietnam emphasizes the critical need for all citizens to enhance their digital literacy and strengthen their online self-protection skills. The collective efforts of the populace are seen as vital in constructing the nation's most robust "digital fortress."
