Man with Knife Attacks People, Damages Property in Asok

BANGKOK — 24 September 2026, A man armed with a knife went on a rampage in Bangkok’s Asok area on Thursday, reportedly injuring four people and damaging property at several shops. The incident took place around Sukhumvit 21, Soi 3, also known as Soi Asok Montri. A Facebook user, Nuchy Clubpolo, posted video footage showing a man carrying a knife and walking along the pavement in the area while allegedly damaging shop property. Authorities responded to the scene and brought the situation under control. Rescue workers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation were also called to assist those injured. According to people at the scene, the man was reportedly a Myanmar national and may have been distressed after being unable to locate his wife.
