Suthiraphan Thapsri was on duty when the foreign national, later identified as Mr. Lauri, 59, a Finnish citizen, staggered into the station covered in blood and seeking urgent assistance. Police and rescue workers were immediately dispatched to assist the injured man. According to Mr. Lauri, speaking through an interpreter, he had been in a relationship with a transgender partner for over a year. He said the incident began after an argument over expenses of around 200 baht, which escalated into violence. He alleged that his partner used a sharp object—unseen by him at the time—to attack him, striking him above the left eyebrow and under the left eye, before stabbing him in the chest near the heart. Injured and bleeding, he managed to grab his motorcycle keys, flee the room, and ride to the police station for help.
