Indonesian young singer Betrand Peto has been reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police for alleged sexual assault by a woman identified as ANW. The victim claims she was suddenly kissed in a club's restroom. His legal team suggests potential assault and coercion.
Young Indonesian singer Betrand Peto (full name: Alfonsus Toribio Tenkudi) has been reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on suspicion of sexual assault by a woman identified by the initials ANW. According to ANW, the incident occurred early Saturday morning, September 12, 2026, at a nightclub in the SCBD area of South Jakarta. ANW claims that Betrand Peto did not try to persuade or flirt with her but suddenly attacked and kissed her. Nathaniel Hutagaol, ANW's lawyer, stated that Betrand Peto could face charges under Article 473 of the Criminal Code and Article 6 of the Law on Sexual Offenses. The incident reportedly took place in the club's restroom. While there is no direct video evidence or CCTV footage, a friend is said to have witnessed the event. The victim's lawyer explained that ANW resisted during the brief incident, and her friend witnessed the situation. Furthermore, due to the lack of any apology or contact from Betrand Peto's side after the incident, a police report was filed. Approximately ten people were present at the scene, and club staff intervened to de-escalate the situation. Additionally, a friend of Betrand Peto, identified by the initials WHA, has also been separately accused of assaulting ANW. ANW's lawyer presented photos showing alleged bruises and injuries on the victim's nose, neck, and arms, stating that her nose was hit and that there were bruises on her neck and arms. These pieces of evidence suggest the possibility of assault and coercion, in addition to sexual assault. Currently, representatives for Betrand Peto and WHA have remained silent regarding these accusations. Source: Detik
