Former Police Official Sentenced to 12 Years for $1.7M Scam in Counterfeit Milk Case

In Hanoi, Vietnam, a former police official, Bui Quoc Hung, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison as part of a large-scale fraud case involving the production and sale of counterfeit milk. Hung received 3.5 billion VND (approximately $1.7 million) under the pretense of 'facilitating' investigations, but failed to avert the probe and did not return the funds.
