The 2nd Intervention Division of the Cambodian Army is preparing to conduct a live firing exercise to inspect the quality of its weaponry in the Phnom Khien area, located in Rong Reurn Village, Kantuot Commune, Svay Leu District, Siem Reap Province. The exercise is scheduled to take place from September 12 to 15, 2026. This live firing activity is being carried out with the objective of inspecting and evaluating the quality of the military unit's arms. The aforementioned location will be designated as a controlled zone with enhanced security measures during the period of the operation. The 2nd Intervention Division has formally requested the Governor of Svay Leu District to notify the relevant local authorities and to further disseminate this information broadly among the public to ensure their cooperation in implementing the safety protocols. In particular, the public is advised to temporarily refrain from entering the live firing area from September 12 to 15 to prevent any potential risks and dangers.
