ASEAN+3 Foreign Ministers Meeting Concludes, Focusing on Regional Cooperation and Challenges

The 27th ASEAN+3 (Association of Southeast Asian Nations, Japan, China, South Korea) Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held with the aim of deepening regional cooperation and addressing common challenges. Key agenda items included promoting economic recovery, strengthening regional security, and jointly tackling climate change issues. Cambodia emphasized the importance of ASEAN+3's role in maintaining overall regional peace and stability, as well as promoting sustainable development. In particular, enhanced cooperation was called for to strengthen economic ties and accelerate recovery from the pandemic. The necessity of collaborative efforts on emerging challenges such as maritime security and cybersecurity was also pointed out. This meeting, in conjunction with other regional security dialogue frameworks such as the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) and the East Asia Summit (EAS), aims to achieve comprehensive problem-solving in the region. Through these multilateral discussions, Cambodia continues its diplomatic efforts to balance the maintenance of regional order with economic development.
