It is known that due to the large number of people coming from various regions to wait for treatment in advance for the free eye treatment programs of Sithagu Eye Hospital, the programs have been carried out earlier than the scheduled dates and the scheduled dates have been extended. Sithagu Eye Hospital in Thibaw, northern Shan State, was opened in 2008 and has been performing eye surgeries once every four months. It is known that patients receiving eye treatment have come from areas such as Lashio, Sindhi, Kutkai, and Namhsan in Shan State, as well as from the plains regions such as Bagan-NyaungU, Yeji, and Pakokku.
