Vietnam's Image from History to 2045 Aspirations Showcased in Paris

An event held in Paris showcased Vietnam's multifaceted and forward-looking image, spanning from its historical heritage to national development aspirations up to 2045. This event suggests that the increasing frequency of high-level visits between Vietnam and France reflects the trust at the highest leadership level. This trust is driving unprecedented efforts to translate into concrete results, despite practical obstacles in cultural, economic, and financial spheres. Trung said the visits achieved the objectives and requirements set out, with important results for Vietnam's relations with Russia and France as well as the country's development in the new period. Vietnam-France relations are entering a new phase, with opportunities to translate high-level orientations and agreements into concrete cooperation programs while expanding bilateral ties in economy, science and technology, education, culture and people-to-people exchanges. Domestically, various initiatives are underway for national development. The urban railway network development requires approximately 70,000 workers by 2030, including project management personnel, operations and maintenance staff, engineers, technical workers, consultants and designers. Strengthening engagement with overseas Vietnamese (OV) is also a key agenda. Politburo Resolution No. 23 calls for stronger links among OVs through sustainable networks connecting experts, intellectuals, entrepreneurs and young people. Each entrepreneur and professional can thus become a bridge, ensuring that despite being half a world away, the Vietnamese community remains closely connected to the homeland. As Vietnam enters a new development phase, with a target of double-digit growth and strategic milestones in 2030 and 2045, National Assembly President Tran Thanh Man called on BRG Group and SeABank to build on their established foundations and effectively implement major Party, National Assembly and Government policies on socio-economic development. Furthermore, Vietnam's second-place ranking in Southeast Asia in science on PISA 2025 is noteworthy, though a wide reading gap has the Education Ministry calling for a cross-subject literacy push.
