Dong Thap Province Appoints Nguyen Thanh Nhan as New Deputy Secretary

The Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee has announced the decision to appoint Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nhan as Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee. Comrade Nhan will be relieved of his previous position as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies. He will be mobilized and appointed to join the Executive Committee and the Provincial Party Committee of Dong Thap Province, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Concurrently, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nhan is to be nominated for election by the Dong Thap Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, succeeding Comrade Pham Thanh Ngai, the former Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, who has been transferred and appointed as Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate. Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nhan, born on August 23, 1977, hails from Phuoc Hoa commune, Ho Chi Minh City. He holds a Doctor of Economics degree, is a Civil Engineer, and has completed advanced political theory training. This personnel appointment is part of the Communist Party of Vietnam's ongoing efforts to foster cadre development and strengthen local administration. Within Vietnam's one-party system, reinforcing the Party's leadership and strategically placing personnel in local areas are considered crucial for the stability and development of national governance. Dong Thap Province, located in the Mekong Delta region, is a significant agricultural hub, particularly for rice and fruit production. In Vietnam's continuously growing economy, enhancing the administrative capacity of local regions is key to achieving nationwide development goals. Nhan's new role is expected to be significant in addressing the province's economic development and social challenges.
