Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to increase its flight frequencies to and from key destinations in Japan, anticipating a surge in travel demand during the upcoming holiday season later this year. In an advisory released on Tuesday, PAL announced that it will commence increasing frequencies on three of its Japan routes starting in late October. This enhancement will boost PAL's total weekly flights to Japan to up to 87, offering passengers more travel options during one of the busiest travel periods of the year. "By adding more flights, we are giving our customers greater flexibility during these high-demand months while strengthening tourism, business and cultural exchanges between our two countries. The additional services also provide more cargo capacity to support growing trade between the Philippines and Japan,” a PAL representative stated. In addition to Japan routes, PAL also plans to operate additional services to Australia on selected peak travel dates to accommodate heightened demand during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Flights on PAL's Melbourne and Perth routes will see additional services, while selected Sydney and Brisbane services will be upgraded to larger aircraft to provide more seats during the holiday travel surge. This expansion in flight services is expected to not only facilitate increased travel between the Philippines and Japan but also contribute to the deepening economic ties between the two nations.
