Cambodia Concludes International Conference on Combating Tech Scams

The International Conference on Combating Online Scams (ICCOS) concluded in Cambodia on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The closing ceremony, held in Svay Rieng Province, was attended by H.E. Net Savoeun, Deputy Prime Minister and Vice Chairman of the National Committee for Combating Technology-Enabled Scams. Under the theme "Together Towards Severing the Chain and Ending Technology-Enabled Scams," participants engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening international cooperation to eradicate fraudulent activities in cyberspace. As Cambodia rapidly digitizes, technology-enabled scams have emerged as a significant societal challenge. This international conference sought to enhance collaboration and bolster the capabilities of law enforcement agencies worldwide to counter the tactics employed by international criminal organizations. In his closing remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Net Savoeun emphasized that the fight against technology-enabled scams is a complex and ongoing challenge, necessitating close cooperation with the international community. He affirmed the Cambodian government's commitment to employing all available measures to protect the safety and trust of its citizens.
