Wise Flags Hidden Forex Markups in Philippine Remittances

Global payments firm Wise is urging the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to enhance transparency on foreign exchange markups in international remittances. Wise estimates that Filipino individuals and businesses may have lost approximately P50 billion in 2024 due to these hidden charges.
