Cambodian People's Party Urges Local Units to Strengthen Unity for Election Victory

Ms. Khoun Khunhdi, a member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and head of the working group for Kampong Svay district, has strongly urged all local party working groups to maintain strong unity to achieve their goals in the upcoming commune/district council elections. She made these remarks during a meeting to review the party's work results in the district for September and outline future directions, held on September 19, 2026, at the Kampong Svay district party headquarters. Ms. Khoun Khunhdi emphasized that maintaining strong unity is crucial for the party working groups to achieve good results and immense, invaluable victory. "Our goal is one, meaning we are in the same boat. Whatever problems arise, we must think and solve them together, avoiding mutual blame, especially for local party working groups who require further encouragement." She highlighted a challenge: many citizens migrating to work far away. Local authorities need to contact them in a timely manner to ensure they have sufficient documents for voting. This demonstrates high attention and responsibility, encouraging and motivating them to vote in the upcoming elections. Ms. Khoun Khunhdi thanked all team members for their dedication and smooth cooperation, coupled with responsible action plans and expenditures, expressing firm confidence in achieving success in the upcoming commune/district council elections. Furthermore, she raised the issue of the Cambodia-Thailand border, stating that our leadership is currently resolving it peacefully in accordance with international mechanisms.
