Thailand's Trat Province to Clear 600 Rai of Illegal Orchards, Official Negligence Under Scrutiny

Illegal durian orchards occupying 600 rai (approx. 96 hectares) of public land near the Huay Raeng reservoir in Thailand's Trat Province are set to be cleared. Four individuals have been arrested, and the provincial deputy governor vows to pursue charges of official negligence (Section 157 of the Penal Code).
