Vietnam Airlines to Launch Self-Service Check-in at Noi Bai Airport

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will launch self-service check-in at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi from July 20. This initiative aims to enhance passenger convenience and streamline airport operations. In parallel, Vietnam Airlines is increasing flight frequencies on several routes to Japan, the Republic of Korea (RoK), and Taiwan (China) to meet rising demand for tourism, business, and family visits between Vietnam and Northeast Asia. Vietnam Airlines stated that while weather-related schedule changes are unavoidable, they are made to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. The country's aviation sector, coupled with expanding air connectivity, continues to benefit the tourism sector. For instance, Da Nang welcomed nearly 9.77 million overnight visitors in the first six months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 22%. International tourist arrivals exceeded 5.16 million, up by 28%. Under its one-party system, Vietnam's government prioritizes economic growth and improved living standards, with a focus on infrastructure development and service enhancements. Measures to improve convenience in the aviation sector are considered a crucial element supporting economic expansion. Furthermore, Vietnam pursues a foreign policy that balances economic ties with China while considering geopolitical equilibrium. The expansion of air routes aligns with Vietnam's strategic objectives of economic diversification and strengthening international cooperation.
