Ayeyarwaddy Times September 7 It has been learned that the National Unity Government (NUG) has awarded military hero titles and medals to 1,792 comrades who have performed military duties with outstanding success, in commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Defence Force (PDF). It is understood that the NUG has honored and awarded five types of military hero titles and medals as the highest recognition, respecting the sacrifices, renunciations, and services of the comrades, and that these have been selected through a phased review and confirmation process, as announced today, September 7. The five types of titles and medals awarded are the People's Revolutionary Merit Award (HPR), the People's Revolutionary Hero Award (LPR), the People's Hero Award (PMNS), the People's Good Citizen Award (PMLS), and the Revolutionary Service Medal (BRS). Among the 1,792 recipients of hero titles and medals, it is known that there was one recipient of the People's Revolutionary Merit Award (HPR), 21 recipients of the People's Revolutionary Hero Award (LPR), 1647 recipients of the People's Hero Award (PMNS), 81 recipients of the People's Good Citizen Award (PMLS), and 42 recipients of the Revolutionary Service Medal (BRS). It is understood that the NUG has reviewed and carried out the process of awarding titles, awards, and medals in three stages, with the first stage involving the review and submission of nominations according to command levels, and the second stage involving preliminary selection within the Ministry of Defence. Furthermore, in the third stage, the "Military Hero Title, Award, and Medal" Review and Selection Committee further reviews the preliminary selection by the Ministry of Defence and grants approval, selection, and awards, and the NUG has informed that this program will be carried out annually.
