Cambodian Red Cross Discusses 2027 Action Plan with Preah Vihear Provincial Branch

The Cambodian Red Cross held discussions regarding its 2026 activity performance and ongoing action plans for 2027 and beyond with officials from the Preah Vihear Provincial Branch. Secretary-General Ms. Pum Chantini, along with representatives from the provincial branch, reviewed the progress of Red Cross priority sector activities in Preah Vihear province and deepened discussions on future strategies. The meeting took place in the provincial branch's small meeting room, attended by Mr. Suon Sumalin, Chairman of the Preah Vihear Provincial Branch, along with its treasurer, secretary, and the director of the provincial branch. The discussions emphasized the importance of activities aligned with the Cambodian Red Cross's Strategy (2021-2030) and the 7th Legislature Government Strategy, adhering to the seven fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality. The Preah Vihear Provincial Branch is currently implementing its 2026 action plan and strategic plan for 2026-2030, with a particular focus on five key areas: 1. Strengthening community resilience and expanding livelihood support. 2. Enhancing partnership, transparency, and accountability to communities. 3. Strengthening governance, management systems, and digital transformation. 4. Ensuring financial sustainability, infrastructure, and logistics. 5. Developing human capital and managing the Cambodian Red Cross volunteer and youth network. This consultation is seen as aiming for the continued development of humanitarian activities in Preah Vihear province and the more effective provision of support to local residents. The Cambodian Red Cross, through its nationwide network, engages in a wide range of activities, including disaster relief, medical assistance, and poverty reduction.
