MANILA, Philippines — Heavy downpour may occur in Metro Manila and several areas in Luzon on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 19, brought by localized thunderstorms and the effects of the southwest monsoon, or habagat, the state weather bureau said. In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 2:30 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the weather condition is expected to prevail for the next few hours.
