The People's Defence Force (PDF) Magway Region Command announced today (July 28) that nine soldiers were captured and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military supplies were seized during two clashes between the military junta's troops and the People's Defence Force (PDF) in Hsaaw Township, Magway Region in July, after which the military junta's troops retreated. According to the statement, on July 16, approximately 300 junta troops led by the 99th Division advanced towards Hsaaw town from the Lwunshae Township (branch) in Hsaaw Township. The PDF district commands and units engaged them, causing casualties to the junta troops, who then retreated towards Lwunshae town.
