Thailand to Revise Labor MOU with Myanmar, Extending to 5 Years and Including Social Security

Thailand's Ministry of Labor plans to revise the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Myanmar, extending the contract period to five years. This aims to facilitate the registration of Myanmar workers and meet the labor demands of the industrial sector. Furthermore, workers in non-agricultural fields will be eligible for a two-year contract, and all workers are slated to be enrolled in the social security system.
