Cambodian NA President Congratulates China on 77th Founding Anniversary

AKP Phnom Penh, September 18, 2026 -- Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended congratulations to her Chinese counterpart on the occasion of the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China. “On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my warmest congratulations to you, your colleagues and the people of the People's Republic of China on the historic commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China on 1 October 2026,” she wrote in her congratulatory message to H.E. Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China. Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed her confidence that the ironclad friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, in particular between the two legislatures, built on mutual political trust and practical cooperation, will be further strengthened through regular exchanges at all levels towards building an all-weather community with a shared future. Today, she continued, China stands as a key global anchor contributing to world peace, stability and prosperity. “I am confident that under the wise and visionary leadership of the Communist Party of China, China will realise her vision of becoming a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious and beautiful by the centenary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 2049,” she said.
