Northern Vietnam Hit by Cold Front, Temperatures Plummet, Thunderstorms Expected

On the afternoon of September 10, a cold front swept across many areas in Northern Vietnam, causing temperatures to drop sharply. Many regions experienced cool weather with thunderstorms. The lowest temperatures during this cold spell are generally forecast to be between 21-24°C, with some areas in the northern mountains expected to drop below 19°C. This cold air mass was predicted to bring rain and thunderstorms to many places nationwide on September 10, with cooler temperatures expected in the North. In Hanoi, temperatures were forecast to decrease from the evening of the 10th, bringing cooler weather.
