Vietnam-Laos Border Communities Strengthen Friendship Through Cultural Exchange

Son La province in northern Vietnam is actively promoting cultural exchange programs to strengthen friendly relations in its border areas with Laos. The program will focus on the Long Sap area and the Moc Chau National Tourism Area in Son La province. Its objectives include showcasing the natural beauty, unique culture, and people of the region, promoting traditional cultural values alongside sustainable tourism development. Furthermore, it aims to boost tourism and trade, fostering stronger cooperation that contributes to the sustainable socio-economic development of both Long Sap and the Moc Chau National Tourism Area. Vietnam and Laos share deep historical ties as neighboring countries, and strengthening bilateral relations has been highlighted in past bilateral meetings as crucial for the success of each nation's revolution. Coordination meetings to review the implementation of the 2007 Hanoi Agreement and gatherings in Vienna to deepen friendship and solidarity among Vietnam, Laos, and Cuba are also part of these ongoing efforts.
