Hung Yen Province to Preserve and Restore Tran Dynasty Royal Tombs and Temples as Special National Heritage Site on 195ha

The People's Committee of Hung Yen Province has announced that the Prime Minister has approved a plan to preserve, restore, and reconstruct the tombs and temples of the Tran Dynasty royal family, covering an area of 195 hectares, as a Special National Heritage Site. This plan aims to protect the heritage of the Tran Dynasty, which played a significant role in Vietnamese history, and pass it on to future generations. It also seeks to make this historically and culturally valuable area an attractive destination for both domestic and international tourists. The Tran Dynasty is highly regarded for repelling Mongol invasions three times, thereby defending Vietnam's independence. Its royal tombs and temples are precious historical sites that convey the architectural styles and culture of that era to the present day. With the approval of this plan, efforts will be made not only to maintain the current state of the heritage site but also to restore deteriorating parts and reconstruct lost sections. This is expected to enhance the academic value of the site and its appeal as a tourist resource. In recent years, alongside economic growth, the Vietnamese government has been focusing on the protection and utilization of its rich cultural heritage and historical sites. This is a dual approach aimed at strengthening national identity and contributing to economic development through increased tourism revenue.
