Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnamese singer Ai Phuong has unveiled her new music video (MV) "Dịu dàng dịu dàng," a project two years in the making. This marks her first venture into a more dynamic musical style, incorporating upbeat rhythms and dance, after nearly 15 years in the industry. Phuong has experimented with composing music in the Latin genre combined with Afro-pop, drawing inspiration from US-UK music. The song's content speaks to the strength of women hidden behind a gentle facade. A host of stars from the reality show "Chị đẹp đạp gió 2024" (Sisters Who Make Waves 2024) attended to support Phuong. Singer Minh Tuyet humorously remarked that her junior had found the "key" to creating novelty for herself and the audience. Toc Tien expressed her long-held desire to see Ai Phuong transform her image, stating, "With Phuong's passion and determination, I believe audiences will see many more surprises in the future." Bui Lan Huong commented that Ai Phuong's physique and vocals are well-suited for a more liberated musical style. Golden Oanh, a long-time close friend and actress, said the singer was bravely stepping out of her comfort zone. "Ai Phuong is now comfortable expressing her true personality and soul," she stated. Other "Chị đẹp" participants, including Ngoc Phuoc, Ngoc Thanh Tam, and Hoang Yen Chibi, were also present to congratulate Ai Phuong. In the MV, Ai Phuong transforms into a goddess inspired by Greek mythology. She shared that she gained more confidence to "shed her old skin" in her career after participating in the reality show two years ago. The singer has embraced feedback from her colleagues and observed audience reactions through her stage performances. Previously, Ai Phuong pursued pop and ballad music, cultivating a gentle and elegant image with millions of views for songs like "Tôi thấy hoa vàng trên cỏ xanh," "Trót yêu," "Cô đơn," and "Lỗi ở yêu thương." Speaking about her decision to change her musical style at 37, Phuong indicated a newfound ability to express herself more fully. Phan Le Ai Phuong, born in Ho Chi Minh City, began her entertainment career after placing in the top 10 of Miss Vietnam 2010 and winning a silver medal at the Vietnam Supermodel 2011. When she shifted her focus to music, she gained attention for her self-composition and performance. The beauty also won the "Promising Singer" award at Làn Sóng Xanh 2015. Beyond music, she has appeared in films such as "Tía tui là cao thủ," "4 năm, 2 chàng, 1 tình yêu," and "Yêu đi, đừng sợ."
