Thai food delivery company POKPOK is set to host 'PokPok Oktoberfest 2026' from October 24 to November 1, 2026, along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. The event will feature over 50 booths offering German and international cuisine, drinks, live music, and activities, with aspirations to become an annual festival.

POKPOK, a food delivery service provider, is preparing to host "PokPok Oktoberfest 2026" from October 24 to November 1, 2026, for nine days at The 71 Venue along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Under the concept "A New Tradition Begins," the event aims to recreate the atmosphere of Oktoberfest in Munich, fostering a space for people to gather and celebrate in a German-style festival setting. POKPOK is collaborating with German-related organizations and networks in Thailand, including the Association of German Schools Alumni in Thailand (VTD) and the Thai-German Cultural Foundation (TDKS), to infuse the event with German culture and ambiance. Discussions are also underway to invite representatives from the German Embassy in Thailand to the opening ceremony and to engage with various agencies and partners to support and develop PokPok Oktoberfest into an annual festival in the future. The venue will utilize both the indoor hall and the outdoor riverside area of The 71 Venue, featuring over 50 booths offering German cuisine, international dishes, and a variety of beverages. The space will be decorated in a Bavarian style, with long communal tables, live music, games, and activities throughout the day. The event will cater to general attendees, groups of friends and families, as well as corporate and organizational bookings. Nuttapong Jaravijit, founder and CEO of POKPOK, stated that this event marks a significant step for the company, shifting from its traditional model of bringing food to consumers through its delivery service to experimenting with "reversing the equation" by creating a space and experience that draws people together, with food remaining a key connector. POKPOK's business originated from addressing the pain point of high food delivery fees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing that consumers wanted to enjoy diverse dishes from various restaurants, even those further away, but were often deterred by delivery costs, Nuttapong combined the concepts of "mobile food carts," "food courts," and "food delivery." This resulted in a model that aggregates food from multiple restaurants and delivers it to several customers in the same area, thereby averaging delivery costs. Starting with just a few mobile food carts, POKPOK expanded to seven within a year, then to eleven, covering 16 routes, and has continued to grow, now operating approximately 50 vehicles. The company achieved total sales exceeding 100 million baht in 2024-2025, demonstrating the growth of its business model that began by solving delivery fee challenges. Nuttapong further indicated that as the core business has grown and strengthened, POKPOK is seeking opportunities to extend its brand into new areas. PokPok Oktoberfest 2026 is considered a significant experiment in this endeavor, transitioning from delivering food to consumers to creating a venue where people can meet. The company aims to develop this event into an annual festival in the future. Information Source: INN News
