Cambodia Celebrates Khmer New Year, Fostering Hope for Youth Future

In Kampong Thom province, northwestern Cambodia, 52 students who achieved top grades (Nites A) in the 2026 high school diploma examinations were invited to a meeting with Governor Nuon Pharath. The event took place on August 4, 2026, at the Prasat Tor conference hall in the provincial capital. Governor Nuon Pharath praised the students' excellent results as a product of their own hard work, the dedicated guidance of their teachers, and the support from parents and the wider community. He stated that this achievement is a source of pride not only for the students and their families but also for the school and the entire province. The governor further emphasized that acquiring specialized knowledge not only provides the skills for a profession but also serves as an opportunity to learn life lessons, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, responsibility, perseverance, and the capacity to face challenges. He added that the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained will form a crucial foundation for building their futures and contributing to the development of their families, society, and the nation. On this meaningful occasion, Governor Nuon Pharath presented each of the 52 outstanding students with a certificate of commendation and a monetary reward of 400,000 riels (approximately 100 USD).
