In a statement on Saturday, Sept. 19, the Department of Health (DOH) Ilocos Region said the new Clinical Laboratory, X-Ray and Ultrasound Services have been added to the town’s primary care facility. This upgrade means that residents of Sarrat and surrounding municipalities will no longer have to travel to distant medical centers for these essential diagnostic services, bringing them closer to home. The improvement in access to medical services is a significant advancement, especially for residents in rural areas, as it can alleviate the burden of managing their health.
