Filipino AI Startup BossLabs Eyes Southeast Asia Expansion

Filipino software startup BossLabs AI is setting its sights beyond its domestic market, aiming to establish a presence in Southeast Asia. The company has identified Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand as its initial target markets, with plans to commence operations in Malaysia potentially as early as October. At a press briefing in Quezon City on Wednesday, BossLabs AI CEO and co-founder Michael Manago said the company’s expansion would be “abroad.” “We are working with some Malaysian counterparts to bring this business there, to bring this model there… hopefully by October,” Manago said. After Malaysia, the BossLabs AI CEO said the startup is targeting to have a presence in “Indonesia and Thailand,” eyeing a more aggressive regional expansion push. BossLabs AI is a company that caters to technology needs —such as integrating software, coding, and artificial intelligence in their daily operations — of businesses. It develops customized software applications for businesses and provides the technology infrastructure supporting those systems, including databases, hosting, security and communications. Manago said his ambition for BossLabs AI to make the startup the “SAP of Asia,” referring to the global enterprise software company SAP. “We want to be in the forefront of this movement because before, this was only being kept.
