Cambodian PM Attends PSE 30th Anniversary, Highlighting Contributions to Poverty Reduction and Human Resource Development
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet attended the 30th anniversary ceremony of the organization PSE (For the Smile of Children). Since its establishment in 1996, PSE has significantly contributed to poverty reduction and human resource development in Cambodia through education and vocational training for children from impoverished families.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet attended the 30th anniversary ceremony of the organization PSE (For the Smile of Children) and the graduation ceremony for students of the PSE Institute for the academic year 2021-2024 on July 2, 2026. The ceremony was held at PSE's facility located at House No. 402, Threak Village, Stung Meanchey Commune, Meanchey District, Phnom Penh. PSE was founded in Cambodia in 1996 by Christian des Pallières and Marie-France des Pallières. It is a non-profit organization established with the aim of helping the most impoverished children escape poverty through general education and vocational training. On average, PSE provides assistance annually to nearly 7,000 impoverished and vulnerable children, offering them accommodation, food, general education, and vocational technical training. Upon completing their training at PSE, these individuals gain the capacity to work in various sectors of the Cambodian labor market and some also find employment opportunities abroad. Over the past 30 years, PSE has collaborated with the Cambodian government in reducing poverty and training human resources through high-quality vocational training. It has provided new opportunities for tens of thousands of Cambodian children and youth, actively contributing to the government's efforts to achieve sustainable development goals. 背景・歴史的文脈
