The National Unity Government (NUG) -In Pattaya, the ASEAN Special Envoy met with leaders of ethnic armed organizations. According to the Minister for Foreign Affairs-NUG Daw Zin Mar Aung, that meeting was an exclusive one with EAO leaders, not with the Steering Council for the Emergence of a Federal Democratic Union. -Under Magway Regional Command, Thayet District People’s Defence Force Battalion (3) has invited new members to fight the military dictatorship. -Kawlin District PDF Battalion (3) informed the comrades away from the force and those who are overdue to report to the force as soon as possible and serve their duty again. -In Madayar Township of Mandalay Region, an alliance of the revolution forces attacked the junta army stationing in Shin Hla Taung Village located in a militarily-strategic area. -In Sagaing Region, Minkin Township PDF conducted a guerrilla attack via FPV drones on the fleet of the junta vessels streaming up Chindwin River. -In Kani Township of Sagaing Region, there was an attack on the junta army on their way out of Lapo Village. Reportedly, over 20 junta soldiers including officers died and weapons were confiscated. Revolution Activities -The India-Myanmar border trade route via the Pangsau Pass connecting Arunachal Pradesh to Naga Self-Administered Zone in Sagaing Region is scheduled to officially resume on July 20, 2026. Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) -Shan State Progressive Party announced that they would continue to look for solutions to political issues in the Union in political ways. -The Arakan Army has provided food items to Muslim families facing hardship for their daily basic needs due to flooding in Buthidaung, Maungdaw and Mrauk-U townships of Rakhine State. The Military Junta -Regarding the murder of the monk U Pannavamsa (also known as Dr. Phe Nyan) in Sandakumyaing Monastery compound of Yangon Region, the military junta arrested five masons. -The Central Equipment Identity Register (“CEIR”) and EIR System Project Steering Committee announced that passengers entering Myanmar from international airports (Yangon, Naypyidaw and Mandalay) are now required to submit the Passenger Declaration Form (“PD Form”) for the mobile devices that are not registered with CEIR. The announcement further states that each passenger may register up to two mobile devices within one year from the date of the initial submission of the PD Form (PD Form). -MyTel, the junta’s telecom operator, will show the semi-final and final matches of 2026 World Cup at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon Region. -Dr Myo Thaw, the junta’s Yangon Region’s minister for Electricity, Energy, Industry, and Transportation, said that with the launch of new DEMU (Diesel Electric Multiple Unit) trains on the Yangon–Pyay railway line, measures are being taken to close illegal level crossings and remove unauthorized encroachments within the railway right-of-way to ensure the safety of those living along the tracks and those using the crossings. -The junta’s Road Transportation Administration Department (RTAD) offers online license extensions for specific categories starting from July 17. -The junta’s Communication Ministry closed about 400,000 mobile phone numbers due to unusual SMS messages until June 30. -U Khin Yi, Speaker of the junta’s Pyithu Hluttaw, said that the committee should coordinate efforts to establish Safe Zones and Safe Cities through precise measures in implementing rule of law activities, and work toward reducing crimes in townships and villages.
