Cambodia Issues Strict Directives to Prevent High School Exam Cheating

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport in Cambodia has issued a strict directive prohibiting the pre-release, copying, posting, or dissemination of examination papers, marking schemes, candidate answer sheets, and score sheets (MCS) for the High School Diploma Examination scheduled for August 10, 2026. This measure aims to ensure the fairness, transparency, and credibility of the examination process and prevent public misunderstanding or erosion of confidence in the exam's integrity. The directive explicitly forbids any form of photography, video recording, copying, posting, distribution, or dissemination through any media of examination papers, candidate answer sheets, marking schemes, and score sheets during the writing period, the marking process, score compilation and verification, and prior to the announcement of examination results. Such actions, whether official or unofficial and regardless of the medium used, including social media, will be considered prohibited acts. Individuals found in violation will be held accountable under existing laws and regulations and may face disciplinary or legal measures. The Ministry urges all candidates, educational staff, examiners, and the public to respect and strictly adhere to this directive with a high sense of responsibility to contribute to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and credibility of the upcoming High School Diploma Examination.
